At D’Youville’s Health Professions Hub — students and health professionals from eight academic disciplines come together to provide specialized medical services to individuals and families from surrounding neighborhoods underserved by the health care industry.
Featuring a clinic, pharmacy, a rehabilitation and wellness center, demonstration café, high-tech simulation center, and more, The Hub is where students train to become future health care providers through innovative educational methods emphasizing interprofessional, patient-centered practice — all while serving our university-wide mission to support healthy, thriving communities.
“The Board is committed to supporting innovative approaches to medical research, science, and education. The new HUB will advance all three along with the added benefit of providing high quality care to the community.”
This approach to the education and training of health care professionals, while helping to encourage healthy behaviors and preventive health care, will help our community address the uneven quality in the social determinants of health so many face.”

Achieving Moonshots: How President Lorrie Clemo and D’Youville Are Reshaping Buffalo’s West Side, Economy and Future
Spend any amount of time with Dr. Lorrie Clemo, President of D’Youville College, and you’ll be impressed with her unwavering pursuit of positive change.
Three and a half years ago, Lorrie Clemo, the president of D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, was staring down a projected shortage of 10,000 healthcare workers in the region by 2024.
Seemingly appropriate for a former women’s school established in 1908 by a group of Quebecoise nuns, D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, is largely cloistered from the neighborhood flanking it.
However you're interested in our progress, from a donor to a community member to a student planning for their future, we're excited to share our updates and to connect with you. We know the Health Professions Hub will transform our neighborhood and our city and if you're ready to join us, we're ecstatic to welcome you.
